Make sure the file you download is a Silodworks file, because as long as I download the Solidworks file there has never been a problem.

1) Make sure the file is compatible with SolidWorks.
- If the file is not in a supported format, it will not open.
2) If the file is native (*.sldprt, *.slddrw, *,sldasm), make sure you are not missing any required references.
- Sometimes the uploader forgets to include references.
- The file could be made in a newer version of SolidWorks than you are running.
3) If the file is not native to SolidWorks, but supported, it may be corrupt.
Could you provide us a link to the file you are looking at?
