Sure it can... all the tools are there to check formability etc., once you understand how to use them.
This is broaching a very deep subject, which is probably why you're not getting much feedback.
It's not 100% clear to me... do you have NX now? And if so, do you have the necessary licensing? Or are you looking for a software solution and just considering NX?
