Which Rubik's cube do I need for my engineering project?

I'm trying to find a Rubik's cube to CAD for my engineering project. The problem I'm having is that the cube I currently have is too difficult to CAD in time. The core is much more complicated than the one I'm used to seeing. How can I buy a cube that has the classic tube shaped core?
