2D Mirror in AutoCAD

Steps you need to do when you are working with mirror command in 2D.

1. Step 1:

   

   All right,now this is a tutorial for beginners in AutoCAD.

   Whenever you have some symmetrical 2D shape use Mirror command,it will save your time.Here I have some random shape I drew and now I just want to mirror it to the other side.You will now see how this works.

   You can find Mirror command at the Modify panel or you can type MIRROR and the command will start automatically just like most other commands in AutoCAD.

   You can draw some shape like I did and then you can follow this tutorial to do mirror.

2. Step 2:

   

   The Mirror command is now activated and first thing I need to do is to select the objects I want to mirror,I have selected everything except the vertical line because I will use it as a reference for mirror.You need to press Enter.

3. Step 3:

   

   Now I need to select my first point of my mirror line,so I will select my top point,it does not matter which one you select first,top or the bottom,the result will be the same.

4. Step 4:

   

   After I selected my first point the shape is already there somewhere at the other side but do not panic,now we need to select second bottom point,

   
   

5. Step 5:

   

   Maybe it will ask you if you want to erase the source object,select NO.

   
   

6. Step 6:

   

   Here it is,just like the other side :)
