Creation of twisted wire

How to create a twisted pair of wires in Creo?

1. Step 1:

   Create additional datum plane.

   

2. Step 2:

   Create for twisted wire 4 upto 6 points refering to datum planes.

   

3. Step 3:

   Route a curve through the points.
   

   

4. Step 4:

   Select curve \ swept Blend \ Surface \ Sections \ Sketched Sections \ Sketch \ Ok \ Insert \ Sketch \ Ok \ Ok
   

   

5. Step 5:

   Select 1st Curve \ Sweep \ Surface \ Section changes along sweep \ References tab

   

6. Step 6:

   and select outer surface boudary
   

   

7. Step 7:

   and select other outer surface boudary
   

   

8. Step 8:

   Sketcher
   

   

9. Step 9:

   Tools \ Relations \ Select angle value \ Write relation =trajpar*360*5 \ Ok

   5 is the # of twists

   

10. Step 10:

    Select in Menue bar Sketch \ Ok \ Ok

    Hide 1st surface in model tree.

11. Step 11:

    Select outer surface boudary \ Sweep \ Sketch
    

    

12. Step 12:

    Sketch circle \ Ok \ Ok

    Dimension the circle smaler than surface width otherwise it will fail with same sized 2nd circle.
    

    

13. Step 13:

    Repeat with other outer surface boundary.
    

    

14. Step 14:

    Finished after blanking all surfaces and curve.
