do we have the "set current view as a home" icon in solid work such as inventor?
It possible to do that in Solidworks, by setting one or several views registered as reference

Step 1:
place the part in the viewport, orientated and zoomed as you want it to be a reference , press space bar and choose "add a new view" , name this view and click OK

Step 2:
Do your job , when you need to return to the view previously created , press the space bar and click the name of the view in the list, then the viewport will display the part as registered view. Available also and usefull for working on cross sections.
