Something like that...

1. Step 1:

   

2. Step 2:

   Make 'Shell'
   

   

3. Step 3:

   Make new 'Plane'
   

   

4. Step 4:

   New sketch
   

   

5. Step 5:

   And 'Extrude Thin'
   

   

6. Step 6:

   Lofted-Cut is not needed!
   If you want to do different cross sections, then you might use Sweep-Cut, but I did it in easier way.
   By the way, the entire model is not very practical build, it can be made a smaller design. =)
