You can see the coil spring design I made with catia from the pictures below

1. Step 1:

   First we open the part design to design the object.
   

   

2. Step 2:

   We make a point assignment in the opening page.
   And we are plotting a plane.
   

   

3. Step 3:

   Then go to the workbench screen,
   We are entering the shape generative shape section.
   

   

4. Step 4:

   Here we select the command helicopter, first to the point then select the plane
   We are publishing at the appropriate size.
   

   

5. Step 5:

   Then we go back to part design.
   

   

6. Step 6:

   Using the rib command on the part design menu, we are starting to create a spiral broadcast.
   

   

7. Step 7:

   Selected areas.
   

   

8. Step 8:

   And we have completed the helix broadcast.
   

   

9. Step 9:

   Render process.
