How to set up the path mate in SolidWorks and make an airplane fly

Learn how to draw a 3Dcurve in an assembly and animate an object with the path mate.

1. Step 1: draw a helix top-down

   

   back in the assembly create a 3Dsketch converting the curve.

3. Step 3: activate Solidworks Motion

   

   activate the add-inn. define the displacement per time with the path mate motor. this option comes available after choosing the motion analysis drop-down.
