Fast 3D holding fixture
How to create a 3D printable holding fixture for inspection.
This is how I create fixtures fast for part holding.

1. Step 1:

   First Step open the model of the part you want to create the fixture for.

   

   
   

   
   

2. Step 2:

   Create a block that is bigger then the block

   

   
   

   
   

3. Step 3:

   Bring the block and the model in to the same window then do combine under the

   Insert tab / features and Combine

   

   
   

   
   

   
   

   
   

   
   

   
   

   
   

4. Step 4:

   In this option do a Subtract and remove the one part from the other part.

   

   
   

   
   

5. Step 5:

   Now you have a model of cavity of the part

   

   
   

   
   

6. Step 6:

   Do some cutting and remove the parts of the fixture that you don't want.

   Now you can 3d print this fixture to hold your part for inspection.
