How to apply a harmonic/periodic movement of a body in Ansys Workbench

1. Step 1: External Point

   
   

   Apply an external construction point at the top of the body you intend to move

   

2. Step 2: Apply an external displacement

   Create the displacement

   Apply it on the external point

   Choose a table for the load

   Calculate the time-dependent load with a periodic function like z=a*sin(b*t)

   Copy the time-dependent movement into the table
