In this tutorial, We will learn solidworks sheetmetal basics. We will flatten sheetmetal in solidworks and we will be exporting our file to autocad for machining in .dxf format. Here, we will learn the following commands: 1) Miter Flange 2) Edge Flange 3) Hem 4) Sheetmetal Gusset 5) Sheetmetal Cutout 6) 3D Mirror 7) Appearance It is a good sheetmetal exercise for beginners and it will be a good practice for beginners. Hi friends welcome back to CADable. Its been a while since I am making a tutorial. In this tutorial, we will be exporting a file from Solidworks to AutoCAD. Remember Solidworks part file format is .sldprt while AutoCAD has either .dwg or .dxf file formats. DWG is Autocad standard drawing file format while DXF is data exchange format and this file format is mostly accepted by many machining processes like different CAM software's, Laser cutting, EDM etc. First we will create a simple arbitrary blank in SOLIDWORKS, then we will save that file as DXF. After that a window will pop up like AutoCAD and we will save that DXF file. Lastly I have used that file from AutoCAD. Kindly use play pause technique for practice. Here, I am not attaching a practice file since it is a very easy tutorial, but if you are facing problems, you can ask, and I'll upload the file. Feel free to ask your queries in comment section. In this tutorial, we'll learn how to make spur gear animation in SOLIDWORKS and in Keyshot. Here we will make spur gears using SOLIDWORKS design library i.e. using tool box. In the 1st section of the tutorial, we will assemble and animate spur gears in SOLIWORKS. In the 2nd section of the tutorial, we will export our animation into Keyshot using Keyshot plug-in. It is a basic exercise for beginners and it will be a good practice for beginners.
