SolidWorks Flexible Sub-assembly (2 ways)

10 4 Intermediate
Most of us find it boring to keep repeating the same mates between the same parts within large assemblies, so we make "Sub-assembly" files to work with. But unfortunately, the default configuration for ALL sub-assemblies makes them "rigid"; as if they were a single part. Here we'll know how to make them "flexible", and in the easiest way possible.

Design of FLEXIBLE FLANGE COUPLING in Solidworks.

1 0 Beginner
Flexible couplings are usually used to transmit torque from one shaft to another when the two shafts are slightly misaligned. They can accommodate varying degrees of misalignment up to 1.5° and some parallel misalignment. They can also be used for vibration damping or noise reduction. You can find detailed modelling with assembly in this video

Auto-Adjusting Cable

0 0 Intermediate
This tutorial will teach you how to make a cable wire in an assembly that auto-adjusts its length and shape when the assembly is modified. The software used is Solidworks. A video will also be accompanied with the tutorial to show the whole process in one go and show how it works.
