I currently work as a Design Engineer for Xwind. As Design Engineer I develop the electrical and mechanical systems used in our full-motion flight simulators. Additional responsibilities include developing engineering processes to streamline the design process and improve communication during all phases of design and production, building initial prototypes, implementing IT solutions and offering customer support.

As a Production Technician I built and tested electrical and mechanical components for use in flight simulators. Components include rudders, yokes, tabletop simulators and full-motion simulators. Working in a production environment gave me experience in the manufacturing process and developed my mechanical aptitude.

As an engineering co-op working for a world-class company, I participated in several rotational assignments. Assignments included Engineering IT, Hardware Engineer with Installations and Controls, Electronics Engineer with Aero Engine Controls (a Rolls-Royce joint venture), Software Engineer working for Electrical Test's Universal Monitoring and Control System team and installation technician working with the Electrical Power and Control Systems group. Throughout my time at Rolls-Royce I was introduced to a wide variety of engineering disciplines and developed many skills including troubleshooting hardware, process design and implementation, communication, and project documentation.

I completed my BSEE through the Purdue School of Engineering and Technology at Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI). Coursework focused on designing microcontroller systems, programming in C and Assembly Language, leadership and project management.
