January 2011 - present
DoctorBioDiesel was the first SPONSOR of
The Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
Capstone Senior student Aeronautical / mechanical
Engineers Alt. Fuels (BioDiesel) project Entitled:
DoctorBioDiesel->TO->JetFuel.
To design & build a Revolutionary BioDiesel
TransEsterification Reactor
6 senior ERAU students
1 year,
16 Man Weeks
1,300r total Engineering files :
350 Catia files + Schematics
+ pictures + LabView Control + All support material.
ANYONE can see and use 1,300 engineering
files for building your own Reactor
or just help design 'the perfect' Reactor in a Virtual
Computer/Internet space.
DoctorBioDiesel is SPONSORING the First
Career Diesel Technical College (CTEC) entitled:
DoctorBioDiesel->TO->CleanDiesels
DoctorBioDiesel has moved the Reactor built at
ERAU to CTEC
CTEC will make biodiesel and use it in the diesel
engines that they routinely tear down and rebuild
for their Diesel Technician Curriculum.
They can look inside a Diesel engine and see if there
are advantages or disadvantages to using BioDiesel
in a Diesel engine and publish their findings.
In a collaboration between ERAU and CTEC
(one mile apart) where CTEC will feed the
'hands on' data and ERAU will process that
data with an ever-expanding computer data base.
DoctorBioDiesel has designed this project to be
'BioDiesel Engineering Open-Source Cloud,
where GrabCad.com is DoctorBioDiesel's Cloud.
Education
Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - CTEC: Diesel Technical College
BioDiesel EXPER, BioDiesel->TO->JetFuel, BioDiesel->TO->CleanDiesels
•
January 2011 - present
The project started at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with the express consent of all parties to make ALL the work done by the ERAU students, which was an ERAU
capstone, senior students Aeronautical/Mechanical engineers research project entitled: BioDiesel->TO->JetFuel.
This sponsorship started Jan. 15, 2014 and ended Dec. 15, 2014.
The 1 year sponsorship:
6 Senior Embry-Riddle Aeronautical / Mechanical Engineers
1,000 hours,
1,300 files
AND
the Capstone Students built the reactor itself, fabricated by the ERAU
Capstone senior students.
The reactor fabricated at ERAU has now been moved to a 'sister' college, 1 mile away,
at the CTEC Diesel Technical College where the Diesel students will use the reactor to make biodiesel and use it in the Diesel engines that they tear down and rebuild as part of their Diesel Curriculum.
They will be publishing data from seeing into the inner workings of a Diesel engine the effects of using biodiesel. This sponsorship is called: BioDiesel->TO->CleanDiesels.
Students at BOTH ERAU and CTEC will be collaborating, by CTEC, mainly feeding 'real data' back to the ERAU students and the ERAU students further engineering the received data and generating more CATIA files.
These sponsorships were specifically designed to be 'open source' entitled "BioDiesel Engineering Open Source Cloud', the Cloud being GrabCad so that anyone can access the CATIA files for further research.
In other words, anyone can 'join' and 'collaborate' , worldwide, the work being done
on thereactor, thereby standardizing and accelerating the research on BioDiesel.
The latest 'feed-stock' technology, such as Cellulosic (plant waste like corn cobs or switch grass) and algae, can only be accelerated IF there is one standardized biodiesel TransEsterification reactor. Whether you believe BioDiesel is good or bad, standardizing the research makes whether it is good or bad absolutely clear.
So, please, review the CATIA drawings and documentation. Change the design specs.
'Virtually' run the reactor with the existing specs or your new specs. Build the reactor, yourself.
Come On ! Collaborate with the rest of the world your research & development !
