Is the volume of liquid filament in SLA technology equal to the volume that can be printed?

I am considering buying a new sla printer and plan to use it for serial printing (minimum 10 printings per month with 90% utilization of the working volume of the printer). I am interested in calculating the amount of required material, can the volume be calculated 1:1 (volume of liquid material: volume of the printed piece)?
Is material lost during laser burning and does it always need to have excess material in the filament pool?

Thanks :D
