how can i determine the size of screw/bolt i need for clamping?
Can i do it through solidworks?
i have to hang a 3mm ABS sheet of weight around 600g on a wall with screws
Go For M5 or M4 ...
so there is no such tool to determine this?
We have to assume it?
me too have same question,,
what are the factors need to consider while choosing a screw size ?
how can we know that how much load will it withstand ?
not exactly !!! but for small use like Sushrut Bapat want to hang a abs Sheet of 600gms , it's like general item.. So no much worry about it !! go to hardware store and find suitabel screw size and put it !!!
Generally I will assume size while doing some small household work, or small project.
Such tools or calculations we use for large, and expensive projects, where weight and strength is primary concern
..
Thank You
ok and thanks
Weight of yellow one will be 0.5 - 1kg
weight of brown one will be 0.3 - 0.5 kg
what should be the screws used for mounting 1,2 & 2,3 ?
do you even consider height as a factor or it doesnt affect much ?
it will be even good if you share on what basis you are suggesting the screw size.
thx for reading.........
Determine how much load is coming on the bolts and follow the IS standards for finding the proof load of the bolts.
For 1 & 2 - M4 x 4 nos.
For 2 & 3 - M5 x 4 nos.
