Why I can not use Thread Feature in SolidWorks?

Suppose I have created a hole, now I want to make thread inside it. So I have opened ''Thread'' feature, Selected the Thread Location. Now I am supposed too select options in specification. But there is nothing to select in "Specification". How can I fix this problem and make thread inside the hole. Your help is very much appreciated.

Have you selected the surface for threads

you can definitely create threads inside the hole.
the procedure is as follows:

1. once after making the hole click on features, check for thread command, and than click on it

2. there after you will have the command box opened in the left side where you have to specify the thread location, and than specify the end condition that means that upto how much depth you require threads.

3. select the size

4. than you will see cut thread and extrude thread.

so if you will click on extrude thread,, the thread profile will be extruded up on the surface you selected for making the thread

while if you click on cut thread, the threads will cut within that internal surface only.

5. Last is click on okay and its done.
