SOLIDWORKS Design & Help

Help PLEASE, Where do I begin to create a Solid model of a new HMC.

I drawn and designed many parts, basic Fixtures, and drawings in 3 years of solidworks use but a complex CNC machine model.
I want to model it so I can use it to test and simulate the radial and axial tooling clearances of different tooling as well as cavity clearance for the swing points for different fixtures with A axis and A&B axis trunnions for parts we want to run on it.
My question is where or how do I start. I suppose the inside is what matters. The Machine Envelope and Travels along with position heights and centers.
Please could someone give me a general idea on how to begin?

Contact the manufacturer they usually have good (sometime too detail ) 3D models available for customers (if you make them think you are considering buying one it may speed up the process ;) ), otherwise measuring tape and calipers are your best friends, and you start with overall outside dimensions so your can locate your inner stuff

Nobody will ever give you 3D files of machine tools in production. It would be like designing for 2 years and then throwing everything on the web.
I have done many courses in machine tool companies, believe me you will never find anything. Only a 3D of the template for the dimensions.

If you are talking about a trivial file for dimensions, almost all companies give DWGs, with the positioning of the fixing holes. In 3d that I know no one gives away anything. Best wishes

@Luigi Massimo Here is a screen-cap of 60GB 3D model I got from Thermwood, have Mazak somewhere as well, just need to ask right people
