The Portland State Aerospace Society (PSAS) is an engineering student group and citizen science project at Portland State University dedicated to building low-cost, open-source, open-hardware rockets and avionics systems. The group’s stated long-term goal is to place a 1 kg CubeSat into low Earth orbit with their own launch vehicle.
Conceptual design, analysis, and optimization of OreSat and LV4.0. Advise senior AE/EE/ME capstone projects, such as developing a Carbon Fiber airframe design, and the manufacturing process to create new/replacement modules on demand. Contributing to the development of six-degree of-freedom control systems capable of controlling a rocket through an optimal orbital insertion trajectory.
