How to mate parts correctly to get them to twist up and down?
Hi! This is my first year using SolidWorks and for my final project I am creating a working lipstick assembly. The assembly has to be able to twist up and down as a real-life lipstick/chapstick bottle. I tried using the path mate but it wasn't working so I probably wasn't doing it correctly. I have attached the parts I created that are needed to perform the mechanism.

When applying the mates, give the "Screw" mate a try. (under the Mechanical Mates header)
Set the "distance per revolution" equal to the pitch of your helix.
