How to model different sheet metal parts from a one main solid.

I have to design a few different sheet metal parts and would like to create the parts from one solid part. Then, if you change the solid, the parts will change as well.

How is this possible in Inventor? Can i export sketches as a new linked part?

This is possible using a technique called "Skeletal modelling".
Google "Inventor skeletal modelling" and you'll find a number of tutorials.
