i need some guide

now only i joined as a junior design engineer in truck bodybuilding section. and now i have to learn some basic design knowledge theoretically, for example how to mention the welding in design,rules to design a thing,how to select a templates for detailing,how to calculate the Bill of materials,What are the basic things behind in the design ,,.i dont know those basic knowledge.can anyone help me out please
