im having issues with autocad 3d plant.

hi,

my workstation keeps freezing up and im wondering can anyone epoint me in the right direction as to why.
maybe someone has had similar problems.

- it can take up to 15 mins for a file to save.
- rotating the construction causes it to disappear or zoom out miles away.
- generally very slow.

when autocad freezes all other programs work just fine.

see the attached file for PC spec.

PC specs look ok to me, maybe the pagefile could be bigger. Sometimes there's a rule of thumb as to what that should be set at, but I doubt that's the problem. Has it always done this or is it new behavior? If it's new, what changed recently?

Are you saving local or to a network? Sometimes working and saving to a network connection can lag things.

Is the video card up to snuff?

Patches, service packs, drivers, etc. all up to date?

Not an acad guy but these are some general things that have tripped me up in the past.

Maybe keeping an eye on task manager or performance monitor will help diagnose the issue.

No

We are only starting to use it for 3D assemblies now

Local

Not sure

Patches, service packs, drivers, etc. all up to date?

Yes

Task manager is overloaded when autocad is open
