Is it possible to write on a model without cutting into it or extruding out of it?

I would like to know if it´s possible to write something on a model without altering it.

yes you can using scribe in wrap feature or decale

You could use the sketch of the text as a split line on the face you want to write on. That way you can set a different appearance for these faces so the text shows up.

If you are talking about Solid Works, then all you need to do is click on the surface, click on TEXT, click where you want the text to start and a dialog box opens. Type and edit your text. you may need to use Modify to get final position and orientation. You may need to play with it the first time, but once you get it you can repeat the process with ease. Practice on a cube and cylinder first.
