You previously asked this question, I don't think I can provide a greatly different answer, but let me expand on it to provide clarification.
OBJ files have the ability to include material & texture details which are essentially images that are being 'painted' onto surfaces. Texture coordinates transfer the region of the image that applies to a surface. CAD does not do that. There is the ability to assign colors to bodies (and in some applications to surfaces), but the mechanism is different. Materials in the CAD environment does not do the same, it refers to physical properties that you refer to (so steel, wood, etc.).
Now... getting an OBJ (or any other Mesh/Facet based format such as STL, PLY, OFF, 3DS, etc.) into a mechanical CAD environment:
Some of the CAD application do include that ability with newer releases as this has been found to be of some use. Some applications have a strong support for this (Fusion 360 for example), others are completely lacking it (Alibre for example). Older packages like the SW 2015 did not yet include this and were reliant on 3rd party applications. A common one is FreeCAD which allows this to be done to a small extent (your mileage may vary, especially with large files or more organic ones).
<Disclaimer> I work for a company that has a sells a package that does this </Disclaimer> You can try out our InStep Studio 3D application which at its core is designed to handle the Mesh -> CAD conversion. It is aimed at being available to hobby users and provide a large set of tools for this purpose. You can try it for free for 10 days...
But bottom line is that you will need to convert the OBJ to a neutral file format and then import it into SW. Yes, you will lose textures, but not due to the conversion, rather due to this not being part of the CAD options.
Need help? Direct Message me and I'll run your file through our converter... or I can provide help in you doing it yourself.
Hope this helps...
