Question about plagiarism

Does GrabCAD do anything about plagiarism of peoples work? When someone takes a model and then re-posts it as their own -can those models be removed and a warning be given to the individual(s)? I posted some recent models which are very quickly gaining popularity and asked people to not re-post them as their own work. But this is being done anyway. I modeled up a 351W engine which took me an incredible amount of time and another member changed the model color and then reposted as his own work with no credit to me.

This kind of action makes people not want to post models or be a member of the GrabCAD community.

This is the kind of theft I am referring to. See the attached screen shot. This was so many hours of design work and I asked people not to steal it and repost as their own. But they are doing it anyway. I am so very closed to removing all of my models and canceling my membership and never returning to GrabCAD if something cannot be done about this.

Hello Michael!
It has happened to me several times and to many other users. The most effective thing is to report the model (link "Report this model") and then go to the user's profile and report it as well (link "Report member").
Additionally, you can write to Yasin Aydin (GC Staff) via internal messaging (Yasin Aydin (GC Staff)) who will give you an immediate response (delete the stolen models, warn and/or eliminate to the reported user, etc.).
Kind regards!

Obviously, anyone who would do this has no legitimate purpose here... and because their subversion so significantly negates important objects of legitimate engineers, I think they should be permanently banned immediately. What's he trying to do? Impress his 7-year-old cheerleader girlfriend?

You should be aware that EVERYTHING published on the internet is royalty free. It is naive to say that people have no morals. I find this site remarkable as it is. When I publish something, I am aware that I simply no longer own it.
