This can also easily and accurately be done using Illustrator then implorted into Solidworks as an .ai file. Check out this (attached) tutorial that I created explaining how to convert any image to curves that can then be imported into a CAD program that has an .ai (illustrator) import option. (I've used Rhino as an example.)
