Why can't I apply a coincidence constraint between a point and a curve in assembly design in CATIA?
I'd like to apply a coincidence constraint between a point in a part and a curve which is part of a guideline. This guideline is made up of straight lines as well. I can constrain the point to straight lines, but not to curves! Why?

Could be lots of reasons. Do you get an error message, or will it just not let you select the curve?
some basic things to try:
1. are point and curve in different part files?
2. are there other constraints that are preventing the point from being in contact with the curve?
3. If there are sub-assemblies, are they flexible?
attaching a picture would be nice
Simple reason: because you have to create a point in the sketch and curve line in the sketch same too.
