Why compression moulding is widely used in automotive interior plastic parts
I have seen that Air vent assembly parts are being manufactured by compression moulding, can not we manufacture it thru injection molding

This is mostly economics. And when you consider color changes and the negation of a gate system, this is the 'best' process for many plastics components that fit the bill. I've weighed out a number of these projects over the years and these are some of the criteria we've considered. The other being part geometries; variance in wall thickness, etc..
