Break tool in AutoCAD and how to use it instead of trim.

1. Step 1:

   

   Here I have this sketch with a circle and 3 lines.You would probably want to get rid of that circle, half of it which goes inside, you probably think that you can just use trim command but in some cases it will not work, then break tool comes in.

2. Step 2:

   

   You can find Break tool at the Modify dropdown, you can always type it too.

   

   The command is activated so I need to select the object (Circle) which I want to break.

   
   

   
   

3. Step 3:

   

   Now this is important, after I selected the circle it wants me to specify second break point but I will press down arrow key on the keyboard, then I will get the option First Point, I will click that.

4. Step 4:

   

   The first point will be the bottom point of the circle because arcs in AutoCAD work on counterclockwise principle so I need to select the bottom point first then the top one.

   

   Now just select the top second point.
