Noob question: How to model a jagged cone

Hi guys,
I want to show you a technique I used recently in one of my models - Pi fruit bowl. It's quite simple.
First I extrude a cylinder, then wrap text or line and finally cut-revolve it in the desired shape - e.g. bowl, glass, cone.

Here is a step by step guide and the SW 2014 file.

I hope it's helpful.

  1. Step 1:

Surface extrude a cylinder with a desired diameter (200 mm in my case)

  2. Step 2:

Wrap a sketch around the cylinder. The sketch has to be closed contour. The only dimension here is an equation for the length of a circle pi (3,14)*diameter or pi*200 mm in my case. The cylinder is now divided in two parts (top and bottom)

  3. Step 3:

Surface Offset the bottom part with 0 mm, then thicken it 20-30 mm.

  4. Step 4:

Do a revolve cut with the shown sketch. You can change the angle and thickness of the model as you like.

  5. Step 5:

Add fillets, engrave text and etc.
Here is the final version of my model with the feature tree shown.
