Why do advertisers pay for ads on this site?

There are so many spam ads in all the different communities of GRABCAD; do companies actually pay to put advertisements here? They could just do it for free just like the spammers!

Advertisers does not specifically pay for any websites. They pay to Google, which pays to its publishers like GrabCAD. Google arranges distribution, not advertisers.
