How do I create a ribbed pattern on a conical surface?
Hi there,
Getting comfortable around Solidworks slowly but surely.
Now I run into a challenge and I am not sure how to approach it the best way.
I am looking to create a ribbed surface pattern on a conical surface.
What would be the best way to achieve this?

I'd do it with a revolved cut.
You can speed up the sketching part of it by creating a line to match the slope of the cone, then doing a linear pattern of the cutting shape (assuming a circle would work).
If you get stuck, post your model so we can test it out without needing to remodel the whole part.
