  1. Step 1:

    Go for the part design work bench


  2. Step 2: selection of plane

    select the front plane and sketch

    draw a horizontal line from origin point

    give the dimension (eg. 100mm)

    exit sketcher

  3. Step 3:

    again open front plane

    now draw verticle line from origin

    give dimension (eg. 200mm)

  4. Step 4:

    open surface design workbench

    select sweep surface command

    select horizontal line as profile

    select verticle line as guide curve

    click on options

    select 'specify twist value' from profile twist

    select revolutions from twist control

    specify number of revolutions (eg. 10)

    click ok

  5. Step 5:

    select top plane

    draw hexagon

    give fillets to the edges

    and extrude the sketch

    upward direction 210mm

    downward 10mm

  6. Step 6:

    go to sketcher and select intersection curve fron dropdown of the convert entities

    select profiles

    now we have the guide curve

    go to the direct editing and delete all surfaces

  7. Step 7:

    select front plane

    draw circle on the point of guide curve


  8. Step 8:

    go to the sweep command

    select circle as profile

    and intersection curve as guide curve

  9. Step 9:

    your spring is ready
